progress and framing

Here is my Crown Sampler progress.  My border met.  Yay!

I also picked up some framing from my LNS -- my framer did a great job as usual.

This is Yuletide Welcome by Plum Street Samplers.  Sorry I didn't take a close up of the frame -- I love it!

And here's Margaret W. Brown by Milady's Needle.  Love this frame too!  I believe I used Soie Surfine on this one, and 45ct linen.  I think.

Last week on New Year's Day, we made our usual homemade Chinese dumplings.  The girl child didn't make it home but the three of us did fine without her help.

So yummy!

Thanks as always for stopping by and saying hi.  I hope everyone has a great week!

Such beautiful framing! 45 ct!

Oh those dumplings look so good. I'm afraid that even with as much as I cook, I don't have the patience for an assembly line of dozens of dumplings. But they look so tasty!

Oh man, homemade Chinese dumplings!! My mouth is watering. A few years - gosh, a good many years, actually - ago, I had the good fortune to have some corridor-mates who prepared a feast for us that featured homemade dumplings. Nothing since has compared. Do you have a recipe you'd be willing to share?

Um, your stitching rocks, too. It always does! :)

Hi Margaret, glad to hear that you are ok. Have been worried about you in the terrible weather that you have been having.

Isn't it such a relief when our borders met up. I always give a huge sigh of relief. Nothing worse than if you have a problem. Puts the whole thing off.

As usual your Framer has done a wonderful job with your samplers. He has the ability to pick the right frame for each piece. Crown Sampler is looking lovely. Always reminds me of Hannah Pepper.

Your dumplings look delicious. Any left :. - Sandra.
